Previous Exploration Work

The B Zone, Area 3 and Area 4 are located less than 3 kilometres north-east of the C Zone. The area has been identified by Crosshair personnel as having the potential to host Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) type mineralization. IOCG type deposits are typically large, iron rich systems that carry variable amounts of copper, silver and gold and locally significant amounts of uranium. Olympic Dam in Australia is the world's largest uranium deposit and one of the world's largest copper deposits.

B Zone

Surface samples and trench samples collected by Shell Canada in the late 1970's were found to be strongly enriched in copper and silver as well as uranium. Surface channel sample results of 11.8 metres grading 0.087% U3O8, 0.28% Cu and 13.23 grams per ton Ag were returned. As well, 15 holes drilled by Shell Canada returned results as high as 0.197% U3O8.

During the 2006 exploration season 1,200 metres were drilled in 12 holes in the B Zone area. Drilling results indicate that mineralization extends for at least 150 metres along strike and to a vertical depth of at least 50 metres and remains open to depth on several sections. ML-BZ-01 intersected 0.269% U3O8 over 7.56 metres including 0.957% U3O8 over 1.26 metres. Prospecting in 2006 also found a large number of radioactive boulders in the vicinity of B Zone. A total of 62 rock samples from the B Zone produced an average grade of 0.723% U3O8, to a maximum of 3.970% U3O8.

2008 winter drilling consisted of an additional 1,004 metres drilled in 9 holes between late January to February. Highlights from the drill program include ML-BZ-13 which intersected 0.235% U3O8 over 3.50 metres as well as elevated copper and silver in drill hole ML-BZ-15 with values grading up to 0.239% Cu and 14.6 g/t Ag over 3.41m.
